Su Pei Khoo (PhD) is the Director of Community Development in ROSE Foundation, a non-profit organization which stands fully committed to the ambitious goal of eliminating cervical cancer in Malaysia. Dr. Khoo is a fully fledged pharmacist under the Ministry of Health before embarking her postgraduate training in Universiti Malaya, Malaysia. Her research work serves to address the three pillars of cervical cancer elimination set out by WHO in the Malaysian setting. Thisincludes modelling the impact of HPV vaccination in the population, improving cervical screening coverage via self-sampling HPV testing, refining the clinical pathway of an abnormal screen and addressing the stigma related to cervical screening areas. She was awarded the Global Student Ambassador under the This is Public Health (TIPH) Global Grant Programme by the Global Network for Academy of Public Health to raise awareness on cervical cancer prevention in Malaysia. As the Director of Community Development in ROSE Foundation, Dr. Khoo spearheads initiatives that aim to uplift and empower communities, leading to successful implementations of innovative cervical screening approaches that have improved the screening uptake among Malaysian women, especially those hard-to-reach and underserved populations.
