Dr Ieera is a senior consultant in the Dept of gynaecological oncology and an Adjunct Assistant Professor for the YLL-NUS and the LKC schools of medicine. She did her advanced gynae oncology fellowship in Royal Marsden Cancer Centre, London, UK and successfully passed the European society of gynaecological oncology exam.
In addition to clinical work, she is passionate about research and is a recipient of various research grants. She has many publications in peer reviewed indexed journals including an article in the BMJ with an impact factor of 30. She is also deeply committed to teaching and is the Clinical lead for OBGYN for Year 2 LKC medical students.
She has been the recipient of many awards including the Dean’s award for excellence in teaching, Service from the heart awards and the KKH and SingHealth Long service awards. She has also contributed to the Ministry of Home affairs for three years as a member of their medical advisory panel for Singapore prison services.
